Stevedore's Legal Liability insurance provides added protection for damage to the area of the ship or the dock in which the stevedore may be working. This liability policy was established because under a CGL (Casualty Policy) a stevedore can obtain coverage for many of the exposures encountered; however, the Care, Custody and Control exclusion in that policy does not give him the added protection.
